Seasonal High Five PvP.

A fresh start every 8 weeks. Fair by design.

Max level from minute one. Free gear up to S80. Everything above it drops from bosses, and nothing that makes you stronger is for sale.

Season 1 starts Friday 20 November, 19:00 CET

Open beta weekend: Fri 6 – Sun 8 November.

Season 1 timeline

  1. Open beta weekend. Characters are wiped afterwards
  2. Season 1 starts. Vesper tier, Zaken, Frintezza, Tiat, Freya, Queen Ant, Core, Orfen
  3. First Territory War on Saturday, first sieges on Sunday. Then every week
  4. Vorpal and Elegia armor, mid S84 weapons. Baium and Beleth
  5. Top S84 weapons. Antharas and Valakas
  6. Season 2 theme revealed
  7. Season 1 ends. The champion and Grand Heroes enter the hall of fame

How a season works

Eight weeks, start to wipe.

  1. Everyone starts equal.

Every character starts at max level with free S80 gear and free SP. No leveling, no head start. All gear below Vesper is free on the Alt+B board.

  2. Bosses decide the gear.

Vesper, Vorpal, Elegia and the top S84 weapons drop only from instanced bosses: Zaken, Frintezza, Tiat, Freya, and seven epics: Queen Ant, Core, Orfen, Baium, Beleth, Antharas, Valakas. No lockouts. Run them as often as you can win.

  3. New tiers unlock on a schedule.

Day 1 Vesper. Week 3 Vorpal and Elegia. Week 5 the top S84 weapons and the dragons. Late starters catch up because everyone is chasing the same new tier.

  4. Clans fight for the season.

Weekly sieges, weekly Territory Wars and a season conquest score. The clan on top at the end is Season Champion, in the hall of fame for good.

  5. Then it wipes.

After 8 weeks the world resets and a new season begins with its own twist. Your cosmetics, titles and hall-of-fame entries carry over. Power never does.

Fair by design

Our pledge.

We will never sell

  • Gear, of any grade
  • Enchant scrolls, attribute stones or crystals
  • XP, drop or adena boosts
  • Adena
  • Boss keys
  • Early access or a head start. Beta characters are wiped for everyone

What we do sell

Cosmetics that survive the wipe, a season pass, and a paid class change.

Premium Coins
Bought with real money and tradeable in game. Players who don't pay can buy them from players who do, with adena. We'd rather run that market in the open than leave it to gold sellers.
The season pass
Bought with Premium Coins. It unlocks cosmetics and lets you list items on the auction house. Everyone can buy from the auction house, and everyone can trade and run a private store.
No daily login chores
The pass rewards achievements: bosses, PvP, sieges, Olympiad. You progress by playing the way you like, whenever you start.

What makes it different

High Five, without the parts that hurt.

You can't lose an enchant.

A failed enchant keeps the item's level; you only lose the scroll. Your enchant and attribute progress belongs to the equipment slot, not the item: put on a better chest piece and a free NPC brings it straight to your record.

Bosses without lockouts.

Every boss is instanced. No waiting for respawn windows, no one clan camping a spawn. Full runs can drop a skip key that takes you straight to the final fight. Keep it or sell it.

Contested epics.

Epic runs can drop a PvP key. Opening one is announced to the whole server: for ten minutes, anyone can bring a group into the instance. The last group standing fights the boss, for triple the jewel chance.

A rating that rewards brave fights.

Every player has a public rating, reset each season. Killing higher-rated players pays more; picking on weaker ones pays almost nothing. Rewards split by who actually did the work.

Choose your risk.

Flag yourself for ×1.5 material drops. Or go full PK mode: ×2.5 drops, and your equipped gear can drop when another player kills you.

Two currencies, two purposes.

Blood Money is earned in PvP and from raid bosses, tradeable, and buys materials. Fame is yours alone: it unlocks PvP versions of your weapon and armor, titles and name colors.

Founding clans

Raise your banner before the season starts.

In-game crestsClan crest 16 × 12 and alliance crest 8 × 12, 256 colours: the BMPs the High Five client takes. The clan leader registers the clan crest once the clan reaches level 3.

Clan crest clan leader, clan level 3

  1. Download the crest and save it to your Desktop or Documents.
  2. In game, open the Clan window (Alt+N), then Edit Crest, then Set Crest.
  3. Under Location, pick Desktop or Documents. Type the file name rather than scrolling, since the mouse wheel changes the Location list. Then press Registration.

Alliance crest alliance leader

  1. Download the alliance crest the same way.
  2. In game, type /allycrest in chat. It opens the same file window: pick the file and press Registration.
  3. It shows to the left of your clan crest. Alliances are founded at a Grand Master or Village Master (Alliance, then Create an Alliance) once the clan reaches level 5.

FAQ

Questions.

Which client do I need?

The Lineage II High Five client plus our small patch. The download and install guide go up before the open beta.

What are the rates?

There's nothing to level: you start at max level with free S80 gear. What matters is boss runs, materials and PvP.

Is it pay to win?

No gear, materials, boosts, keys or adena are sold; see the pledge above. Premium Coins are tradeable, so one player can sell them to another for adena. We say that openly because we'd rather be honest than pretend nobody can.

What happens at the end of a season?

The world wipes: characters, items, adena. Cosmetics, titles, hall-of-fame entries and unspent Premium Coins carry over.

Can I play solo?

Yes. Gear below Vesper is free, Territory Wars and events take everyone, open-world PvP pays by rating, and Olympiad is 1v1. Bosses and sieges are where groups and clans come in.

Where is the server?

Europe. Server time is CET.

What about bots and RMT?

Botting and real-money trading of adena or items are banned.
